Looking out for my dad I began thinking he wasn’t there. I was waiting at the Melbourne airport to see my father. Finally I spot him. It had been 10 months since I had seen him and I had missed him. Racing my sister Vivienne to him, I beat her. Every year we headed down to Australia she would always hug him first. While I stood there waiting. Ha, but not this year! As I hugged him I noticed my brother and sisters standing behind him. This was the first time he came with my brother and sisters to the airport. I began giving each and every one of them a hug. I was so excited. This is my main holiday highlight.
Because
- I got to see and spend time with my father, brother, sisters and also Lisa (my step-mum).
- I also got the chance to see my extended family (Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles and Aunts etc.)
- Oh, and I received plenty of presents.

“Wait out here.” The sun had pass and the sky was dark, my sisters and I were told by Lisa to wait outside. While inside the house Lisa rapidly grabbed the butcher's knife and cautiously checked every room in the house. After a moment of silence she declared the house safe to enter. My sisters and I entered the house unaware of what had recently happened. Stepping into the lounge room an unpleasant smell filled my nose and I noticed the back door was wide open. Lisa filled us in on what had happened.
Someone had broken into our house, touched our cloths and personal items but strangely didn’t steal anything. We all strongly believe that it was Jordan (our next door neighbour). Well, back to the story. Lisa then contacted my father and told him what had happened.
After the phone call he was on his way back home. Meanwhile Lisa rushed over to our neighbour house (not Jordan) to get help. While she was gone, our poor dog began yelping as if someone was hitting her. I was worried. Someone was roaming around in our backyard. Lisa come back with two other adults. It made us feel a bit more safer.

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. My 06:00 AM alarm went off. I had to wake up early because I had the chance to go with my dad to work. My dad is a carpenter. I extremely enjoyed the time I spent with him. He taught me the names and the use of different tools. e.g Trimmer, the Trimmer is used to cut or trim carpet. I wish I could spend more time with him.

Coming closer to the gate I already began crying inside. I was at the airport with my family about to fly back to New Zealand. We stood at the entry of the gate and the airline lady told me that its time to say my goodbyes. I hugged Kacey, my confident sister. Kacey is a strong confident person. She does not let anything knock her down. Then Lina my cheeky little sister. She is always up to mischief. It might be giving our sister’s dolls to our dog or making our brother angy. Next Vivienne my big faithful sister. Vivienne’s faith in god is unbreakable. She is a shy and a hardworking girl, wait I should say woman.
Then Matty my little power ranger. Matty is my brother he loves power rangers as he watches it he plays with his power ranger toys. He is very short but as they say big things come in small packages and even though he is small he is always trying to protect me. Next Lisa, my assistant in evil. Together we cause evil. I enjoy her company because she also make me laugh when I need to. Then Dad, my humble father. My dad is always humble, he does everything he can to make us all happy. As I hugged him, he told me how proud he was of me.
