List of my favourite things to do

Here is a list from 1 to 4 of my favourite things to do.

Number 1, watching TV. This is my favourite things to do. It helps me relaxes and also keeps me updated on what is going on around the world. The only time I don’t watch TV is when the commercials are on, I hate the commercials.

Number 2, listening to music. This is also really soothing and calming. I listen to music while on my way home and school. I listen to music to help me sleep and if it is too loud during class I would put earphone in my ears and begin listening to music.

Number 3, playing handball with my friends, Iisa, Rave, Isaaka, Helen and Nikita (these are links to their blogs). When I say handball I don’t me the olympic handball. Every morning tea and lunch time we go on a quest to hunt for a ball so that we can play handball. We all enjoy playing handball.

So in conclusion these are the 3 things I like doing most. After reading this blogpost you might realize, you have some things in common with me.

Why is family important?

Everyone has a family. Some have biological families and some don’t. Does it really matter? Family is not only the people who share the same blood as you, they can also be the people who love and support you through out life. I have chosen to write about the importance of families.

Families are always supportive and will be with you every step of the way. They teach you what's right and wrong and help you understand life better. Their help is precise so are they. They push you to do things you never thought you could do. e.g run a long distance race without stopping or even improve your education.

You should always treasure your family because sadly a vast amount of children do not have families to come home to. They were either abandoned as a child or their parents died. These children are called orphans.

Imagine coming home one day and realizing your family is gone. Would you be in shock? How would you feel? What would you do? Your mom wouldn’t be there to make dinner for you. No one would be there to put you to bed at night.

At night I always tell my mom “I love you” before I go to bed because what if she, wasn’t breathing in the morning. At least I would remember that my last words to her where “I love you”. We should all love our families because we don’t know when they would be gone.

A good family would love and support you no matter what. A bad family would put you down all the time and say negative, unnecessary comments to you. A good family is like God they will pick you up when you feel down. A bad family is like a bully and will always be mean to you just for their entertainment.

In conclusion families are extremely important, they help you out when you most need it. You should love them, I mean they did give birth to you and remember not all families are perfect.

Te Tuhi

Te Tuhi is an art gallery. It is located in Pakaranga. There are also art classes for people who are willing to learn about art. I think it is a great place. Our class visited Te Tuhi as a trip. We all enjoyed created our own tapa. After creating our tapa we headed to the gallery. In the gallery there are only 4 things.

Step 1 get an ordinary A4 paper and scrunch it up. Step 2 use a brown crayon to scrap the paper. Step 3 cover the paper with dye and let it dry. Step 4 use pencil to draw patterns on it. Step 5 use brown crayon to color in the background of 2 of your designs. Step 6 use brown paint to paint the background of your other designs design. You are now done.
