Sound Movie How does sound break glass?
This is a movie I have been working on. It is about sound.
How does sound break glass?
All glass has a resonant frequency it basically means a frequency at which an object will vibrate if it is disturbed by sound. When you tap the glass it will create a pitch. If you are able to copy that pitch loud enough eventually the glass will reach a point where it vibrates and breaks.

Echolocation and Ben Underwood
Echolocation is a way that some animals see. For example an animal will create sound waves. These sound waves reflect off an objects and an echo will come back to the animal. The animal now knows the location of the object, the size of the object and the destination or how far away the object is.
The animals that use echolocation are whales, dolphins and bats. Whales usually swim down deep to the dark blue sea, so it is really dark! Using echolocation helps them a lot. That strange sound that whales make, thats the sound that rebounds off objects and comes back to them.
Bats sleep during the daytime and come out at night. So it is not exactly easy to see. They come out to hunt for prey. Bats us chirping sounds that reflect off other objects and come back to them. They have big ears to help them pick up the echo from sounds. As they get closer to their prey they chirp faster.
Ben Underwood was a unique kid who learnt the amazing skill of echolocation also known as bio sonar (Sound Navigation And Ranging). He was born on the 26th of January 1992. When Ben was born he was healthy, but began getting eye cancer at the age of 2. He became blind at the age of 3, so he had to wear prosthetic eyes. He began make a clicking sound. This helped him develop the fantastic skill of echolocation.
Incredibly, Ben was always aware of danger. If Ben was playing on the road and a car was coming, he would be able to hear it before it even got on the block. Ben was never treated different. His family and friends alway treated him the same and acted like he was normal. Sadly he died in 2008 at the age of 16.
Echolocation can be very helpful. It is also a really unique way of seeing.

How to keep your house warm without electricity?
Keeping your house warm during winter is hard because the money you pay for thing like heaters. I will explain how to keep your house warm without electricity.
Make sure all your windows are closed properly. Doing this will stop all the cold air from getting into your house. Use clear curtains for windows that brings sunlight and keeps the cold air out.
Try to let as much sunlight in as possible into your house as it can help heat it. Make sure that your house is fully insulated. Close all the curtains before the sun goes down to trap the heat in. Cook often. As this will heat the house and you will have something to eat. Lit candles, this can produce heat but Don’t leave it unattended! Wear warm clothes.
Exercise often. For example every 30 mins get up and dance or something. Doing this can save your family a lot of money and keep you warm.

How to cook scrambled Eggs?
Have you ever wondered how to make scrambled eggs? You will need
- 3 or more eggs
- frying pan
- bowl
- butter/oil spray
- spatchula
- fork
- stove
First put the frying pan on the stove and make sure that the it is on medium-low. Put 2 teaspoons of butter on the pan and let it melt. As it melts hold the handle of the pan to move it around. Make sure the melted butter is spread all around the pan. This will make it easier to flip the eggs.
As the butter is melting, get your bowl, eggs and fork. Carefully use the side of the bowl to crack the eggs. Pour the inside of the egg into the bowl. Throw the egg shell away. Do this to all your eggs. Use the fork to whisk it. Keep doing this until the eggs turn orange.
Pour the eggs into the pan with melted butter. While it is in the pan keep mixing it. Keep doing it until it is no longer watery. Turn of the stove and put it on a plate ready to eat.

Tamaki Technology
Every thursday half of Pt England Intermediate. Walk down to Tamaki College for technology. We are all put into groups and there are 3 groups. There are Food Tech, Hardware and Materials and Grips tech. Each term we change groupes. Her are so things we learnt.
Are you thinking of making a (metal) necklace for a friend. Well read this to have a good idea of how to do it. First you need to choose your metal. Here are a few choices.
Did you know that the metal Lead is poisonous. If you ever want to melt Lead, you need to reach 330 degrees. This metal also develops a dull dark gray color. So I suggest not using Lead, but if you do then don’t expect it to stay new and shiny forever.
Now Brass, first of all it will begin turning into a green color. You also need to reach 900 degrees to melt it, which is quite high. So I suggest not using Brass, but if you do then be very careful .
Finally Gold. It is good, but it is also very expensive. In able to melt it, you need to reach 1050 degrees, which is extremely high and dangerous! So if you ever use Gold, I suggest being very very careful! You also need to have a lot of money. But remember there are still more others like pewter and silver.
If it is not smove you should also sand it with sand paper. There are different sandpaper grips and as you move up to a higher grips it gets smover. When you finish you should use metal polish to polish it. Do this until you see a mirror shine(Until you can see yourself in it).

Leaving A Smart Digital Footprint
Did you know that while you are surfing the net, you leave a digital footprint. It is sort of like when you walk through snow, you leave footprints. So leaving a smart footprint is really important. These footprints get saved, so you can’t delete them no matter what.
Whenever you enter or leave a site, you leave a footprint with your name on it. It is like a digital snail trail you leave as you are on the internet. So leaving a smart and positive one is best. It is also like taking a walk at a beach, you leave footprints in the sand.
Don't just think if you delete your history no one will knows what you were on. You leave a footprint on everything. So try leave a good one. Your digital footprint is the trail you leave about yourself when you’re on the net.
However, leaving an inappropriate digital footprint can come back to bite you, especially when people that you didn’t intend to know certain things about you, come across your footprint online.
Stay safe on the net everyone. You actions now on the internet can affect your future. I hope that after reading this you will always leave positive footprints not negative.

How To Leave Blog Comment
Example(Zion Keni’s Blog)
Leaving feedback can be really helpful. I will be writing an explanation about how to leave a comment on blogs. The first thing you need to do is read or watch the blog post. When you have finished, click comment, it will be at the bottom of the blog post.
Example(My Comment)
Once you click comment, scroll down until you see this picture above. The big box is where you write your comment. It is good to write one thing they should work to help them but the rest should be positive. So they know there work is special.
Example(Name/URL)
If you have a blog of your own you should add your Name/URL so they can visit your blog and leave feedback on your blog post. You need to click the box next to comment as. Then click Name/URL. There will be two box’s. One will say Name and the other will say URL. You need to write your name in the box that says name and you need to paste your blog URL into the box which say URL.
Example(My Comment)
Finally you can publish it. Leaving Comment can help the writer get better because he or she can learn from there mistakes. It can also help encourage them to continue. The blog that I used as an example was Zion Keni blog.

How to post blog post
The best way to share work, is through blogging. It is really easy. First, you sign into your google account. You have to do this or you can’t create the new post. At the top of the blog, there should be something saying new post. Click it.
Your screen will change. There will be a small box at the top which says, Post Title. This is where you name your blog post. Below that are the fonts and different sizes for your text. There is also a big text box. This is where you past your writing or write it.
On the right side, you will see your post settings. This is where you can add your labels, schedule, permalink, location and options. Above it is where you can Publish(Post), Save(make it a draft), Preview(check what it will look like before you post it) and close (cancel your post).
If you want to add a video into your post you need to click HTML next to Compose which then you can paste the embed code from the video into the big text box. If you want to add a photo, you just click the small picture of the mountain next to the word link. Then you choose file(picture) which then you can add what ever picture you want.
That is how you create a blog post. It may sound hard but it is really easy. It really is a great way to share work.
